•‘Help create a stir’ – a Macmillan Coffee morning is being held in St. Michael’s Hall today from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon Please come and support this worthy cause, there will be a raffle, cake stall, gift stall and ‘bring and buy’ as well as a cup of coffee.
••The Royal British Legion Club, Pecked Lane, Bishop’s Cleeve is continuing to hold live entertainment and dancing on Saturday evenings. Today ‘Geoff George’ is back and next Saturday the entertainment is being provided by ‘Richie C’. Tickets are £3.00 for members and £4.00 for non members. New members are most welcome – contact Club Secretary on 674199 for more information. Bingo is held at the club from 7.30 each Sunday night.
The Royal British Legion is also acting as a drop off point for the ‘Shoe Box’ appeal, so those living in Woodmancote and the west side of Cleeve may find this more convenient.

•Wednesday sees the start of this year’s Alpha Course run by Bishop’s Cleeve Churches Together. The ‘Launch Supper’ and following meetings will be held in the Methodist Church Hall. For more information please e-mail Sally Lavis snaphappy@waitrose.com. or telephone 673835.
•The Methodist Women’s Fellowship meets on Wednesday at 2.30 p.m. in the Church Hall. This will be their first meeting in the newly refurbished premises and they will be meeting the new minister, Rev Steve Ward, for the first time. Come along and join them, whether you are a new, existing or past member. You’ll all be very welcome. As always tea will be served and there will be a ‘bring and buy’ table.Bishop’s Cleeve Methodist Church is now in a position to let their newly refurbished hall, with optional well equipped kitchen, for community use. •Next Saturday afternoon the Prescott Challenge is being held. The Prescott Challenge is a combination of a family fun run, cycle and team challenge, up the famous 1km Prescott Hill Climb racing track. There will also be a barbeque, cream teas and side stalls.
•Tewkesbury Borough Council want your views about parking in Bishop’s Cleeve, both on-street parking and off-street parking so they have arranged a ‘drop in session’ on Tuesday from 6.00 – 8.00 p.m. in the Bishop’s Cleeve Parish Office.
