The Bishops Cleeve, Woodmancote ,Prestbury and Swindon Village Branch of the Liberal Democrates is holding their AGM at 8.15pm on Friday the 27th of June at the Bishops Cleeve Comunity Centre.

•If you get your Echo early enough today you may be in time to catch a coffee morning with cake and second hand book sale at St. Michael’s Hall between 9.30 and 11.30 a.m. with proceeds going to the Gloucestershire County Association for the Blind.



•On Sunday the Cheltenham Circular Challenge takes place starting at the racecourse, so why not join in and help raise funds for your chosen charity?  You don't have to do the full course and there are free buses back to Prestbury Park.  You can register on the morning, for further details the contact helpline is 01242 269479.

•This week the Tuesday Club welcomes Eunice Powell who will give a talk entitled ‘Heroes of the First World War’; this includes names taken from the local war memorial.  The meeting takes place at 7.45 p.m. in St. Michael’s Hall, please come along, everyone welcome admission for visitors is £1.00 which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.


•Today there will be live entertainment at your local Royal British Legion Club in Pecked Lane, Bishop’s Cleeve with Geoff George.  The following Saturday Two Hearts will be making a welcome return visit.  Tickets are £3.00 for members and £4.00 for non members.  New members are most welcome – contact Club Secretary on 01242 674199 for more information.
