I have held children's pottery classes for 6 years in London and for 4 years after moving to Cheltenham in 2001. The classes are held every Thursday at the Tithe Barn in Bishop's Cleeve from 5.00-6.00pm.

They are suitable for children from the age of 5 to around 11. They are held in term time only.

The cost is £6 per child per class payable in advance in half termly blocks. This cost includes materials and firing.

It is a clay modelling class only - no pottery wheels.

The classes will restart on Thursday 14th September and booking is essential.

The classes are an opportunity for children to discover their creativity in a non-school type atmosphere. They work at their own pace and make whatever they like. I support them with ideas and methods of course. The children paint their work with pottery slips and I glaze and fire the pieces in my electric kiln at home in my workshop.

I myself am a potter producing individual hand-decorated pieces in earthenware for use in the home and garden. I sell mostly at craft fairs and in the Made in Gloucestershire shop in Gloucester.
