The Highways and Amenities committee is responsible for many of the bus shelters around the village, also the notice boards, litter and dog bins.  It also provides dog bags that are available at a small charge. It has taken on the responsibility of locking and unlocking the Cemetery in Kayte Lane, from the Borough Council.  It  communicates local concerns and knowledge to the County Council regarding traffic matters affecting the Village. 
 

The Cemetery in Kayte Lane, Bishop's Cleeve.  The management of the Cemetery is under the control of Tewkesbury Borough Council.  The Parish Council volunteered to lock and unlock the vehicle gates on a daily basis, when the Borough Council were going to stop this service due to budget constraints.  If there are any problems with the gates please contact the Parish Office or see the emergency contact numbers on display at the cemetery.  Until future notice, the pedestrian gate remains unlocked and the vehicle gates are unlocked during the following hours 9am - 7pm (during British Summer Time) and 9am - 5pm (Winter)

Parking Offences and Appeal
The Parish council does not deal with parking tickets. If you have any issues please contact Tewkesbury Borough Council.
  There are strict legal procedures for dealing with appeals against the issue of a parking ticket and important deadlines for you to consider.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A NATIONAL BUS PASS AT BISHOPS CLEEVE PARISH COUNCIL OFFICE

With effect from 6th April 2010 the government announced it has changed the criteria by which people whose birth date is after the 5th April 1950, qualify for a bus pass on grounds of age.

To find out when you are eligible for a bus pass go to the Government website

You can apply for a bus pass from the Parish Council office after your eligible date in the following way:

1. Download an application form - by clicking here - national bus pass application form

2. Make an appointment to have your digital photograph taken by telephoning the office on 01242 674440.

At your appointment bring in the completed application form with 2 forms of identification

a) Proof of date of birth e.g. birth certificate, passport, drivers licence and

b) Proof of address (applicant must live within Tewkesbury Borough Council) e.g. utility bill.

The photo will be forwarded with the application form, electronically to Tewkesbury Borough Council – who will then process the application within 7-10 working days, and will send your bus pass to your home address.
